Production Method of ZnDDP Liquid

1. Two-Step Synthesis

Step 1: Mix alcohols (like isopropanol) with phosphorus pentasulfide (P₂S₅) in a reactor. Heat to 80–120°C. They react to form dialkyldithiophosphoric acid (RO)₂P(S)₂H.

Step 2: Add zinc oxide (ZnO) to the acid solution. Stir at 50–80°C. Neutralization occurs:

2(RO)₂P(S)₂H + ZnO → [(RO)₂P(S)₂]₂Zn + H₂O. Filter to remove solids and get ZnDDP liquid.

2. Direct Reaction

Combine alcohols, P₂S₅, and ZnO in one step. Heat to 100–150°C under stirring. The reaction produces ZnDDP directly. Cool and filter the product.

3. Solvent-Based Process

Use solvents like toluene to dissolve reactants. This helps control temperature and improve mixing. Follow the same reaction steps as the two-step method. Remove solvents after filtering.
