Tungsten is a gray black metal with a metallic luster (body-centered cubic crystal).  Melting point 3400℃, boiling point 5555℃. The hardness of tungsten is the hardest of all metals, ranging from 200 to 250 for sintered tungsten rods and from 350 to 400 for rotary hammer rods. 

Tungsten is soluble in a mixture of nitric and hydrofluoric acid. Fused with a mixture of sodium hydroxide and sodium carbonate. Slightly soluble in nitric acid, sulfuric acid, aqua regia; Insoluble in water, hydrofluoric acid, potassium hydroxide.

Tungsten is mostly used in the production of carbide and iron tungsten. 

Tungsten and chromium, molybdenum, cobalt composition of heat resistant wear alloy used for cutting tools, metal surface hardening materials, gas turbine blades and combustion tubes. 

Tungsten, tantalum, niobium, molybdenum, and other refractory alloys. 

Tungsten-copper and tungsten-silver alloys are used as electrical contact point materials. High-density tungsten nickel copper alloy is used as a shield against radiation. 

Tungsten wires, rods, plates, etc. are used in making parts of electric bulbs, electronic tubes and electrodes for arc welding.

Under normal circumstances, the higher the degree of spheroidization, the smaller the particle size and the narrower the particle size distribution of the powder, the better the fluidity of the powder, the greater the bulk density.

Note:

Spherical tungsten powder is prone to crack or deform during processing due to its high melting point and hardness, which affects the properties of the alloy. At present, 3D printing technology has gradually replaced the traditional powder metallurgy, which is an ideal tungsten powder processing technology.
