Chromium oxide is an inorganic substance with the chemical formula Cr2O3. It is a light green to dark green small hexagonal crystal. Turns brown when hot, and remains green when cold. The crystals are extremely hard and stable, and there is no change even when hydrogen is introduced under red heat. Soluble in heated potassium bromate solution, slightly soluble in acids and bases, almost insoluble in water, ethanol and acetone. Also stimulating.
Fused chrome sand has high strength, high hardness and low porosity, which can significantly improve the acid, alkali and slag corrosion resistance of refractory materials.
Detail technical data of Chrome Oxide:
|Name||Fused Chrome Oxide||EINECS NO.||215-160-9||CAS NO.||1308-38-9|
|Molecular formula||Cr2O3||Appearance||Black metal Granules or powder|

Widely used in non-ferrous metallurgy, building materials, petrochemical, large power generation boilers, waste incinerators and other fields
It can also be used as a melt-blown coating, which can be directly sprayed onto the surfaces of metals, ceramics, etc. with the help of high-temperature plasma gas, giving the latter extremely high wear resistance, corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance.
It can also be mixed with chrome oxide green and aluminum oxide or zirconium oxide, etc., according to needs, to obtain refractory materials with excellent performance.
